  1. Hi Monty - quick question my dear. My daughter and several of her buddies from college (already graduated and a total of 12) are going to stay at our time share in Nuevo PV (really nice resort) - a few of the parents are concerned that it is not safe there. I haven't heard anything lately.. though I did hear from news about Alcapulco but not anywhere in PV. So please let me know of any news that you can honestly share with me. I know LIsa loved PV and I've been there before but it has been 4 years.

    HI Alice
I know your concern because of the events of the war on drugs. Puerto Vallarta is almost 1000 miles from the border and most of the war has been fought on the border. Alcapulco has had recent problems and murders. One reason, there is a four lane highway from Mexico City straight to Alcapulco has a lot of traffic and has been a favorite place to Vacation for the gangsters coming and going in their cars.

The Puerto Vallarta resorts are far removed from the violence of the border. It is safe for the kids to come here and my girls come here as well. I have zero concern for their safety. I live here and know that it is safe without any threat from the drug warriors. There is not one street in Puerto Vallarta that I would feel any fear of my safety, walking by day or night by myself. Puerto Vallarta is a friendly city. One in four of every family has someone in the family in the tourism industry and we all work to keep our city and our tourist protected. We have no homeless people sleeping on the beach nor anywhere I have ever seen because the police will haul them away. Not true on the border or in many U.S. cities. All the best, Monty
